The State Government will continue to encourage each ethnic group in Sabah to protect their respective cultural heritage and promote racial and cultural tolerance. I am confident that with the support from the rakyat, including the Chinese community, will complement the government’s efforts to boost the state’s economy.
Hajiji said that the Lunar New Year embraces bravery, success and prosperity, qualities of the dragon based on the Chinese zodiac and reiterated his call for the Chinese community to be partners of progress to develop the state.
Datuk Christina Liew, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment, represented the Chief Minister and delivered the CM’s speech.
