New British High Commissioner

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor welcomed Ailsa Terry, the newly appointed British High Commissioner to Malaysia, on 27 February 2024 at Menara Kinabalu.

Terry who took over from Charles Hay in August 2023 was formerly the Director of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) Sanctions Directorate from 2022 to 2023.

The CM and Terry discussed several issues including bilateral ties; trade and investments from British companies; education; security and tourism. British High Commission Second Secretary (Political) Robert Pepper and British Honorary Consul in Sabah, David Powell accompanied Terry at the courtesy call.
