Hajiji Attends Inaugural National Energy Council Meeting

State and Federal leaders met on 2 April 2024 and discussed the nation’s energy needs and to formulate strategic directions and policies for now and for the future. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim chaired the meeting at his office, Putrajaya.

The leaders received updates on 10 flagship projects under the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR) including one Sabah flagship project, that is, the Sabah Energy Security, under the purview of the Energy Commission of Sabah (ECoS).

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor attended the inaugural National Energy Council meeting which also included the following:

• Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.
• Sarawak Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari Abang Haji Openg.
• Energy Commission of Sabah (ECoS) Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Ir. Abdul Nasser Abdul Wahid;
• and seven Federal cabinet ministers.
