CM on working visit to PWD

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor continued his schedule to visit state ministries and the destination on 5 November 2024 was the Ministry of Works, Sembulan, Kota Kinabalu. The major issues discussed during the working visit include the following:

Urgency for Public Works Department (PWD) to resolve the damaged roads throughout Sabah. PWD to order and instruct the road concessionaires to repair damages immediately. “I want PWD to immediately solve the damaged roads issue," Hajiji said.

Hajiji said that, pertaining to the Non-Revenue Water (NRW) issue, the Government will get independent investigators to determine the source of the 60 per cent NRW. Water theft may be one of the causes.

Hajiji directed State Secretary Datuk Seri Panglima Sr Safar Untong to resolve the workforce shortage issue at the Ministry of Works.
