Sabah Begins Programme for Poor Households

The State outreach programme to the hardcore poor people Government’s begins in February 2025. One of the aims of the initiative is to lessen the burden of the poor rakyat and especially the hardcore poor, particularly during the main cultural celebrations. Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor announced on 23 January 2025 that the “Sentuhan Kasih Rakyat 2025” programme is for the Hardcore Poor and Poor Household heads and their family aged 18 years and older. The programme’s monthly distribution of RM300 would be rolled out in phases and in packages. At the initial phases, 100,000 people in the poor and hardcore poor bracket will receive the cash aids.
