The State Government launched a new system to strengthen the process for infrastructure projects. The Sabah Utility Corridor (Koridor Utiliti Sabah or KUS) is a set up as a one-stop agency to expedite utility work permit processes. KUS uses digital technology to integrate and expedite project approvals, reduce overlapping work, and enhance fieldwork safety. The GRS Government believes that this strategic initiative will be a key catalyst for systemic development.

Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor said that KUS aligns with the Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) roadmap, which emphasises comprehensive development and the delivery of efficient, transparent, and future-oriented services. This approach gives a significant impact to the smooth implementation of government and private projects, and it supports the state's digitalisation agenda, investment competitiveness, and smart city development, Hajiji said on 4 July 2025 at the KUS official launch at the Marriott Hotel, Kota Kinabalu.

“This is an example of public-private sector synergy that can produce high-impact solutions for the people. Projects like this strengthen industrial logistics and expand access to essential supplies such as electricity, water, and telecommunications to rural communities."

Datuk Abidin Madingkir, Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister, delivered the CM’s speech.
