RM600,000 for e-hailing Workers to Open Accounts at EPF
The State Government will allocate RM600,000 for gig workers in the e-hailing sector to open account at Employees Provident Fund (EPF). Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor said e-hailing workers have submitted 11,109 applications to start their contributions and savings at EPF.

Hajiji – who spoke at the Sabah Moto Day 8.0 on 17 August 2025 at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) Drill Field, Kota Kinabalu - said that the event can contribute to the economic generation of Sabah in view of its significant number of participants and visitors. Hajiji said that Sabah Moto Day has continued to grow exponentially attracting 60,000 motorcyclists and motor enthusiasts from Sabah, Sarawak and Brunei in 2025.
The Chief Minister said that youths are the nation’s assets. Therefore, the government has rolled out initiatives by spending RM1.33 billion to develop the human capital sector including RM848.26 million for education and RM485 million for talent and skills development programmes from 2021 to 2025. “We are committed to develop our youths who are our future leaders,” he added.
