Chief Minister Visits Tragedy Areas

Hajiji Haji Noor extending his condolence to Aristhotle @Jude Joseph

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor, on 17 September 2025, visited several areas which were severely impacted by landslides and floods. Hajiji visited Beaufort, Bongawan, Papar, Kinarut, Penampang and Kota Kinabalu.

At Kampung Mook, Kinarut, where floods hit hard on the area, Hajiji met with several victims including Aristhotle @ Jude Joseph whose wife, Emily Johnny, 38, and son, Xarell Myre Aristhotle, 11, died when landslide trapped them inside the house on 15 September 2025. Hajiji handed contributions and cash assistance to Aristhotle and his family.

At Kampung Marahang, Papar, Hajiji visited the areas affected by the massive flooding and met several victims including Benney Binjamis @ Emis whose wife Wong Moi Ling @Meymey, 34, and their two children, Kamey Asphereynda Benney, 10, and Christen Kell Benney, 6, perished in the landslide tragedy, also on 15 September 2025. Hajiji presented contributions and cash assistance to Benney and his family.

In Beaufort and Bongawan, Hajiji presented aids to 83 and 56 flood victims respectively. The Chief Minister visited Inanam and the housing areas at Country Heights and the Gaya Teachers' Training Institute, Kota Kinabalu, where landslides have severely damaged properties and infrastructures.
