Hajiji Meets Sabahan Volunteers to Gaza

Two of the three Sabahan volunteers – who was part of a Malaysian contingent’s attempted mission to Gaza in October 2025 – met with Chief Minister Datuk Seri Haji Hajiji Haji Noor on 20 October 2025 at Sri Gaya, Kota Kinabalu. Leading the visit to have lunch with Hajiji was Sul Aidil Sudi, from Tawau, who was the sole Sabahan in the Malaysian contingent in the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) on a humanitarian mission to Gaza.

Together with Sul was Khairul Azlee Mohd Yunus, from Sandakan, who was a ground crew in Spain for the GSF Malaysian. Another Sabahan volunteer, Zizi Kirana, was unable to join the lunch meeting. The two volunteers recounted their experience during the mission. Sul shared the ordeal that the group went through when Israeli forces intercepted the group’s flotilla in international waters near Gaza.
