GLC leadership to be Revamped and Restructured

The GRS-led Sabah State Government is restructuring all the Government Linked companies (GLCs) immediately. The comprehensive restructuring involves the leadership, specifically all chairpersons and board members. The government said the move is required to strengthen and streamline corporate governance and accountability and to inject new leadership to accelerate the Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) 2.0 goals.

"We must transform GLCs into effective and trustworthy economic engines through competent management to generate greater value for the people and the state," Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor said on 7 December 2025.

“The rakyat has spoken and we must act: Sabah needs dynamic, professional, and results-driven leadership to navigate a new era characterized by strategic investments, digitalization, new energy, and social development. A revamp is necessary for effective transformation and continuity. Our sole objective is to ensure a stable, prosperous, and secure future for Sabah and the people, in line with the aspirations of SMJ 2.0.”
