With a fresh mandate from the people, the GRS Coalition is continuing to chart a development pathway for the people. Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor said that he looks forward for the rakyat’s continued support.

Cooperation, tolerance, respect and unity are important virtues, Hajiji said in a speech - delivered by Assistant Minister to the Chief Minister Datuk Ceasar Mandela Malaku - at the opening ceremony of the “Dragon, Unicorn and Lion Dance Festival” on 25 January 2026 at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC), Kota Kinabalu, organised annually by the United Sabah Chinese Communities Association Kota Kinabalu (USCCAKK) in conjunction with the Chinese New Year 2026 celebration in February 2026.

Based on the Chinese zodiac, 2026 is the Year of the Fire Horse, normally associated with change, innovation, and courage, and great opportunities. “Cultural and festive celebrations among Sabah’s communities of different religions, ethnicities and cultures form a unique identity, Hajiji said.

"They strengthen unity and harmony. We must harness the energy of the Year of the Horse to bring about greater economic development, social progress and improved well-being. We must share this vision of hope and move forward with our development agenda.”
