Cabinet Pledges Corruption-Free Governance

Cabinet members signed the Corruption-Free document to demonstrate and strengthen integrity and good governance. Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noo, led cabinet colleagues in the Corruption-Free Pledge and signing ceremony on 25 February 2026, at Menara Kinabalu.

Datuk Mohd Fuad Bee Basrah, Director of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Sabah, witnessed the “Ikrar Bebas Rasuah” or IBR event. Mohd Fuad said the implementation of the IBR program is a positive commitment by the State Government to strengthen integrity and good governance.

"The implementation of the program also demonstrates the seriousness of the planned initiatives to erase corruption, abuse of power and financial leakages," said. The initiative will be expanded to ministries, government agencies, and government-linked companies. Mohd Fuad also said that he looks forward to the private sector’s participation.
