Assistant Ministers and Political Secretaries Make Pledge

Assistant Ministers and Political Secretaries in the GRS Coalition Government followed the lead done by their cabinet colleagues on 25 February 2025 in pledging corruption-free governance and signing the pledged document to uphold integrity and good governance.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor – who has given his pledged and signed the documents on 25 February 2026 - witnessed the ceremony involving Assistant Ministers and Political Secretaries on 26 February 2026 at Menara Kinabalu.

Datuk Mohd Fuad Bee Basrah, Director of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Sabah branch, who also witnessed the ceremony, gave a briefing on prevention of corruption and strengthening integrity within the public service.

During the briefing on 25 February 2026, has said that the IBR initiative demonstrates the seriousness of the state government to erase corruption, abuse of power and financial leakages. The initiative will be expanded to ministries, government agencies, government-linked companies and to the private sectors, he added.
