State Security Committee To Review Existing Startegies

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor chaired the first State Security Working Committee (JKKN) Meeting for 2026 on 26 February 2026 at Menara Kinabalu during which the main issue included the need to conduct a comprehensive review of state security matters, and to streamline coordination and strategic cooperation among relevant agencies.

Among those present included the following:

• Datuk Seri Panglima Sr. Haji Safar Untong, State Secretary;
• Datuk Jauteh Dikun, Sabah Police Commissioner;
• Datuk Sh. Sitti Saleha Habib Yussof, State Immigration Director;
• Datuk Victor B Sanjos, Commander of the Eastern Sabah Security Command (ESSCOM);
• First Admiral (Maritime) Mohd Khairulanuar Abd Majid, Director of the Sabah Maritime and Federal Territory of Labuan;
• First Admiral Erman Shahril Adlan, Deputy Eastern Fleet Commander; and
• Datuk Awang Yahya, Secretary of the Sabah State Security Council.
