Unity in Diversity for Political Stability

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor called upon Sabahans to use the Aidilfitri celebrations to strengthen unity. “Our strength is unity in diversity,” Hajij said in his 2026 Hari Raya Aidilfitri message on 19 March 2026. “The values of mutual respect, tolerance and togetherness that we have inherited must continue to be preserved as the foundation of the state's stability and progress. Political stability is critical for the state's development and prosperity.” Aidilfitri is a symbol of victory over one's desires, the triumph of nurturing the soul with patience and sincerity and a celebration of strengthening bonds among family members, neighbours and the whole community, Hajiji added.

The Chief Minister said that Sabahans must redouble efforts toward building a more advanced and prosperous Sabah under the Sabah Maju Jaya agenda and that the State Government has outlined a more strategic and comprehensive roadmap to propel Sabah to a higher level of development through the Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) 2.0 development plan.
