Aidiladha: An Occasion To Reflect On The Sacrifice Of Prophet Ibrahim And Prophet Ismail
As we honour and celebrate Aidiladha on 27 May 2026, the sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and his son, Prophet Ismail (AS), must be a continuous reflection for us in facing life’s challenges, Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor reminded fellow Muslims.
“Aidiladha is a major Islamic celebration observed by Muslims throughout the world with deep reflection and great significance and especially on the sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and his son, Prophet Ismail (AS),” Hajiji said in his Aidiladha 2026/1447H message on 26 May 2026.
“It is this spirit that we must embody in facing every struggle. Sacrifice requires perseverance and it must begin with us. This is what we learn from the sirah of Rasulullah S.A.W, which provides inspiration and strength in our struggle to develop our state. Aidiladha celebration must serve as a turning point for Muslims to remain motivated and committed to enhancing the quality and value of sacrifice so that they will be among the blessed servants of Allah SWT.” Let us also pray for the continued wellbeing and safety of Sabahans, for always preserving goodwill, remaining united and avoiding division and conflict, the CM added.
