State Government and MoF to Improve Diesel Subsidy

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor said on 15 July 2026 that the government has discussed with relevant agencies to resolve the Budi Diesel subsidy program. Ongoing follow-up meetings are taking place involving State Government agencies and federal agencies, including the Federal Ministry of Finance (MoF).

Another meeting will be held on 17July 2026 to further examine the issues and challenges impacted by the diesel fuel subsidy program, Hajiji added. The nation-wide diesel subsidy program began on 1 July 2026.

“The State Cabinet also discussed the diesel subsidy programme at a meeting on 13 July 2026,” Hajiji said. “We are examining the issues, and we shall make recommendations to address them.”
