Stand United, Work Together For A Prosperous Sabah
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor said that the true measure of a government's success is not just what it has built, but also the extent to which the people benefit from the development. Sabah’s development agenda - through the Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) 2.0 roadmap – is aimed at building a more advanced, competitive and prosperous state.
"The State Government will continue to strengthen various initiatives that directly impact the people's lives, including in the areas of education, welfare, housing, healthcare, rural development, the empowerment of women and youth, and providing better basic amenities to those in need,” Hajiji said at the launch of the state level National Month and Fly the Jalur Gemilang Campaign on 1 August 2026 at Menara Kinabalu.
"The SMJ 2.0 roadmap places emphasis on sustainable economic development, human capital empowerment, improved productivity, enhanced competitiveness, the adoption of innovation and technology.” Hajiji said that independence is not only freedom from colonial rule, but also freedom from the shackles of poverty and division. It is a precious gift that we must cherish and defend, he added.
"Let us fly the national flag with pride,” the CM said. “Let us continue to stand united, work together and support one another with a renewed commitment to building a more advanced and prosperous Sabah in line with this year's national them: Malaysia MADANI: Shared Prosperity."
