UK High Commissioner to Malaysia visits Sabah

Ajay Sharma, United Kingdom’s High Commissioner to Malaysia, visited Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor on 5 August 2026 at his office at Menara Kinabalu. His Excellency Sharma was appointed to the High Commissioner’s position in April 2025. Hajiji welcomed Sharma to Sabah and said that the close relationship between Sabah and the United Kingdom will continue to be strengthened.

Sharma has more than three decades of experience in the British diplomatic service, having served as the British Ambassador to Qatar and he has also held several senior positions at the United Kingdom's Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.
