Communisations Minister Briefed Hajiji on JENDELA

Dato’ Seri Fahmi Fadzil, Federal Minister of Communications, visited Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor on 3rd November 2026 at the CM’s office at Menara Kinabalu, during which Fahmi briefed Hajiji on the latest development of the National Digital Network Plan (Jalinan Digital Negara or JENDELA), a key initiative aimed at expanding digital communications infrastructure and connectivity in Sabah.

The implementation of the second phase of JENDELA will benefit residents, particularly those in rural and remote areas which have limited access to quality internet services. JENDELA 2 covers 3,000 locations nationwide, with approximately 2,000 locations in the remote areas of Sabah and Sarawak being the focus of the second phase of the project. Tan Sri Mohamad Salim Fateh Din, Chairman of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), was also present.
