Land Office to Intensify Native Land Surveying Service

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor accompanied by State Secretary Datuk Seri Panglima Safar Untong and Land and Surveys Director Datuk Bernard Liew conducting pre-launch of the Smart Geo Sabah system; and Hajiji with 87 recipients of the Department’s Excellence Award.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor commended the Land and Surveys Department for developing the Smart Geo Sabah system, saying that the department has set the benchmark for a digital transformation based on the three concepts of innovative public service; public service with sufficient capacity & culture creation; and public service which optimises data analysis.

The Department has also created the “Pengukuran Tanah Anak Negeri Sabah” (PANTAS) or Sabah Native Land Surveying service programme in 2011, and Hajiji said that the programme will continue to be intensified. The CM spoke at the Land and Surveys Department’s Service Excellence Award (APC) ceremony on 30 July 2024 at the Sabah International Convention Centre, Kota Kinabalu. Hajij said that personnel at the Department must continue to remain relevant by:

  • being sensitive to public’s demands;
  • keeping abreast of changes in job requirements;
  • being adaptable and adjustable to changes;
  • being efficient;
  • offering best customer services;
  • and holding high degree of integrity.
