Malaysia-Brunei Continue Strong Relations

Malaysia and Brunei have continuously pursued and maintained wide-ranging cooperation and the pursuit include Sabah-Brunei relations. Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor accompanied Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to the 25th Malaysia-Brunei Darussalam Annual Leaders' Consultation (ALC), which is the highest-level meeting between the two countries. The ALC was held on 26 August 2024 at Istana Nurul Iman, Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei.

Leaders of the two countries, Anwar and Brunei’s Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, witnessed the signing of the Memoranda of Understanding and Bilateral Instrument which endorsed the exploration of new opportunities.
