Birthday Parade by 77 Contingents for Head of State

Sabah honoured Head of State Tun Juhar Mahiruddin’s official 71st birthday on 5 October 2024 with a 77-strong contingent parade at Padang Merdeka, Kota Kinabalu. Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor and VIP guests greeted Tun Juhar Mahiruddin wife Toh Puan Norlidah RM Jasni.

The event witnessed the cutting of the Pulut Kuning birthday cake with a special performance by the Sabah Cultural Board. Seventeen canon shots were fired prior to the national and state anthems and followed by inspection of the guard of honour by Tun Juhar. Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razaruddin Husain presented the VAT69 Honorary Wings to Tun Juhar.
