Sabah Welcomes Investments, Knowledge-Exchanges
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor met with Edgard D. Kagan, the US Ambassador to Malaysia, on 15 April 2025, to discuss bilateral ties. Hajiji told Kagan that Sabah continues to seek and welcome more investors to Sabah, including from the United States of America, to invest in trade, education and culture.
Hajiji said that businesses from the USA has done well in Malaysia-Sabah and the most recent being ConocoPhillips, an American oil and gas company, which has successfully expanded its shareholdings in the O&G industry in Sabah. “Sabah will continue to facilitate a conducive and investor-friendly environment for investors,” Hajiji said. Kagan has also updayed Hajiji about the cooperation between Oregon Zoo and Sabah Wildlife Department for knowledge exchange and capacity building.
