CM and Norway’s Ambassador Discussed Opportunities

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor said that Sabah looks forward to strategic cooperation opportunities with Norway. Hajiji hosted Marianne Fosland, Norway’s Ambassador to Malaysia, on 26 May 2026, at Menara Kinabalu. Hajiji discussed joint opportunities in sustainable development with Fosland in green economy, renewable energy, tourism and technology.

The two leaders also discussed tourism topics and they explored potential for a Europe-Sabah tourism promotion cooperation. Knutt Granli, Deputy Head of Mission, accompanied Fosland.
