Hajiji Visits Plant in Kunak

The Phytonutrient Extraction Plant project, the first of its kind in Malaysia, undertaken by Kunak Lipids Sdn Bhd is nearing completion and it is expected to begin producing vitamin E by 2026.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor said that the project in Kunak is a positive development as a supplementary activity and business venture for the Sawit Kinabalu Group, with palm-based materials used in its production.

“I am pleased with the Sawit Kinabalu Group’s additional business venture. All these products are made from palm-based materials and others. The project will boost Sawit Kinabalu’s and its partner company’s revenue," Hajiji said during a visit to the plant on 8th September 2026.
