Sabah Hosts MA63 Meeting

Sabah will continue pursuing the 40 per cent revenue entitlement that the Federal Government owes and all other outstanding issues stated in the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63), Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor said.
The next opportunity will be at a meeting on the MA63, to be chaired by the Prime Minister on 11 September 2026 hosted by Sabah.
“At the meeting, we will discuss the claims and issues under MA63 that still need to be resolved. Thirteen matters under MA63 have been resolved. There are still other matters outstanding, including the 40 per cent payment,” Hajiji said on 8the September 2026 during a visit to Kunak.
The Federal Government has agreed to the 40 per cent payment claim, Hajiji said, but several technical issues still needed to be resolved.
