Leaders, Administrator to Address and Fix Critical Issues
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor said that development projects must be implemented urgently. The Chiief Minister also reminded administrators to simplify processes and deliver services efficiently and especially basic amenities such as water and electricity. “I want all of you to be proactive and sensitive to the needs of the rakyat,” he said on 11 February 2025 during a meeting with permanent secretaries, heads of departments, district officers and local council heads at Menara Kinabalu.

“This momentum must continue with the support and efforts of all.” Hajiji said that one of the ways to deal with Sabah’s water woes is to recruit professionals, and especially experienced engineer which the Cabinet has approved. “However, the water concessionaire must fulfil its obligation to supply water to consumers and especially in Sandakan, and if it has failed to do so, we must action.”
While the State Government has achieved a revenue of RM7 billion in 2024, Sabah must continue with the path of investment-friendly initiatives in the years ahead. Some massive projects will boost Sabah’s revenue and reputation including the Sipitang Oil and Gas Park (SOGIP) which is now 100 per cent occupied; the Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park (KKIP) which is near full occupation; and the Commercial Collaborative Agreement (CCA) with Petronas which has been signed and delivered.
